It’s hard to know how to help your parents when the time comes for a change.  If that time is now, we have helpful news for adult children! Just remember to be proactive and consider the following items:

1. Is the upkeep of your loved one’s home becoming a burden? When yard maintenance, isolation, driving restrictions, meal preparation, etc., begin to cause stress or difficulty, it may be a good idea to look at options other than home ownership.

2. Keep in mind that as we age, daily tasks become more difficult. Why not enjoy the assurance of safety, security, conveniences, assistance, meals served, planned activities and socialization found in a retirement community?

3. An organized move is key – use the resources or references that the community suggests: personal movers, organizers, and interior design professionals,  As adult children, you don’t have to do all of the work!
